Janice L. Wells

Janice L. Wells, of Metter, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Candler County Hospital in Metter.

Janice was born in Metter and was a daughter of JW and Mary-Elizabeth Lanier and lived in the area all of her life.  She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of New Beulah United Methodist Church.  Janice loved to shop, especially at Goodwill.  She loved music, good food and she had a very outgoing personality.  Above all, Janice loved her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Mercer and a grandson, Chandler Price.

Surviving are her daughters, Angela Price of Metter, Cynthia Price (Benjamin) of Metter, Heather Calvert (Shawn) of Metter; and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Julian, Madison, Liamm, Heston, Greyson, Abrahm, Mary-Katherine, Lauren-Elizabeth, Lily and Caleb.

The visitation will be held Sunday from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will follow in Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
