Jane Cornelia Trapnell Stanton, 92, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at Candler County Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Dana Haviland of Los Altos, CA and Nancy and Bill Main of Raleigh, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Tina Stanton of Marietta; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Sue Trapnell of Marietta; seven grandchildren, Heidi Rager of Denver, CO, David DeLoach of Rocky Mount, NC, Karen Battle of Wake Forest, NC, Ryan DeLoach of Altamonte Springs, FL, Mimi Wilson of Acworth, Zack Stanton and Kathryn Jane Stanton of Marietta; nine great grandchildren, Ian and Alex Rager, Timothy DeLoach, Robert and Nathan Battle and Charles, Mary Margaret, Jim and Daniel Wilson.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Whiteford Dale and Kenneth E. Stanton; her parents, James Comer Trapnell and Eula Mercer Trapnell; and an infant daughter, Laurie Jane Stanton.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, 2:30 pm, at the Metter United Methodist Church, with Reverend Whit Byram officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon, 4-6 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. Remembrances may be made to the school or church music program of your choice.
