Jan Crook Garza, 60, wife of Robert Roy Garza, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of John Palmer Crook and Geneva Crook. She was a homemaker and a member of Hillside Church of God. Mrs. Garza lived in Florida where her husband, Roy, was stationed before moving to Cobbtown twenty-four years ago.
Surviving are her husband Robert Roy Garza of Cobbtown; her mother, Geneva Rewis of McClenney, Florida; her daughters, Sandy Goodwin of Statesboro, Ruth Morgan and her husband, James of Jacksonville, Florida, Tonnette Fitzwater and her husband, Chris of Orange Park, Florida, and Amanda Garza of Cobbtown; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and Dean Martin of Swainsboro, Irene Chester of Metter, Linda Gail and Phillip Reeves of Callahan, Florida, and Francis Tracy of McClenney, Florida; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Alexander, Christopher Garza, Corinthia Morris, Amorette Garza, Courtney Whitfield, Angel Whitfield, Ashlynn Goodwin, Tuari Fitzwater, and Sonnette Fitzwater; and one great-grandhild, Malachi Morris.
The funeral will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
Interment will be in the Garza Family Cemetery.
