James "Pudgie" Wright

James Douglas “Pudgie” Wright, Jr. 78, of Collins, Ga, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Ga.

James was born on May 14, 1945, to the late James Douglas Wright Sr and late Shellie Juanita Head Wright in Savannah Ga. James served his country by serving in the United States Navy after graduating from high school. Upon his venture with the navy James was employed with Floyd Pike Utilities where he served as a lineman. James has been part of the Collins, Ga. Community for the last 60 years. He loved to fish and hunt and spent many years as a member of the Collins United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Lee Wright.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Ann (Pat) Lively; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11 o’clock in the morning, at the Collins Baptist Church Cemetery.
