Jackie Lamar Lanier

Jackie Lamar Lanier, 66, of Soperton and formerly of Metter, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

Mr. Lanier was born in Metter and was a son of Hubert B. Lanier and Annie Lee Finch Lanier.  He was a retired construction worker and attended Restoration Worship Center in Metter.  He loved fishing, hunting and gardening as well as spending time with loved ones and he loved to laugh.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and April Lanier of Statesboro; a sister, Judy Phillips of Soperton; two grandchildren, Anna Lanier and Gracie Lanier; and several nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Restoration Worship Center with Pastor Tony Brown officiating.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
