Jack Webb, 72, of Twin City died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Candler Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness. Born in Savannah, he was the son of Isaac Jones "I.J." Webb, Jr. and Nell Daniels Webb, and had lived most of his life near Twin City. A 1963 Metter High School graduate, he was a Deacon and member of the El Bethel Baptist Church. Jack was a partner of Webb Brothers and Beaver Creek Plantation. His family was the most important part of his life. Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Jack Christopher Webb, a nephew, Reid Daniels Webb; and his father-in-law, Harry Richardson.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Linda Richardson Webb; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Jordy Carter, Maggie and Ryan Hadden both of Metter; six grandchildren, Sara Kate Carter, Jack Brinson Carter, Jordan Carter, Reese Hadden, Sydney Hadden and Riggs Hadden; two brothers and their wives, Jerry and Rena Webb, Ike and Leigh Webb; his mother-in-law, Sara Richardson of Twin City; nieces and nephews, Jeri Kay Royal, Monica Dorner, Jay Webb, Jeb Webb, Clair Collins, Taylor Webb and Mack Rowland, Matthew and Christopher Richardson; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Harry and Marian Richardson of Texas and Charles and Sharon Richardson of Twin City.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 2:00 pm, September 18, 2015, at the El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be the Deacons of El Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-9 pm, at Beaver Creek Plantation.
