Hilda Ruth Findley

Hilda Ruth Lee Findley, 87, of Cobbtown died Friday, March 8, 2013 at her home. The daughter of Francis Mortimer and Ida Sills Lee, she was born in Ashville, NC. She moved to Tattnall County in 1996 from Fairfax, SC. She and her husband, Harry, loved travelling in their RV while keeping a diary of their travels. She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mrs. Findley was a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a son, Harry Lee Findley, Jr.

Survivors are her devoted husband, Harry Lee Findley, Sr. of Cobbtown; two sons, Allen (Karen) Findley of Centerville, Utah and Garry Findley of Lawrenceville; two daughters, Eilene F. Milam (Richard) of Jackson and Jennifer F. Carr of Yamassee, SC; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11:00 AM, at the Cobbtown First Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Gilliam and Rev. Raymond Trent officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Elbert Findley Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home.
