Helen Norma Powell Moore

Helen Norma Powell Moore, 85, died peacefully with her children by her side on Wednesday, April 02, 2014 at Azalea Nursing and Rehabilitation. The Cobbtown native, daughter of Cicero and Josephine Akins Powell, had lived in Metter for the past nine years after moving from Lyons. She was a homemaker who loved to fish, cook, and grow flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Moore; two sons, Douglas and Robert Moore; a daughter, Betty Jo Kitchens; a sister, Betty Branch; a grandson, John David Brannen, Jr.; and a great granddaughter, Maeleigh Driggers.
Survivors are two daughters, Connie Lanier of Metter and Annette Forsell of Ridgeville, SC; a son, Charles “Sammy” Moore of Lyons; two brothers, Dean Powell and John Powell both of Cobbtown; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
