Helen Sikes Collins

Helen Sikes Collins, 92, of Cobbtown died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Hospice of Savannah. She was born in Bulloch County, the daughter of Virgil and Annie Belle Howard Sikes. Before moving to Cobbtown in 1975, she had lived in Savannah 45 years working with Seaboard Coastline Railroad and retiring with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Savannah. Mrs. Collins was a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church. Reading, sewing and cooking filled her leisure time. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Levi Collins and a brother, Harry Sikes.

Survivors are a daughter, Judy Collins of Savannah; a son and daughter-in-law, Virgil and Janis Collins of Crossville, TN; a sister, Alma Zettler of Guyton; two grandchildren, Cheryl Collins and Michael Collins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM, at the Cobbtown Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Trent officiating. Burial will be in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Johnnie Collins, Ricky Zettler, Robbie Rogers, Danny Krulic, Will Krulic and J.D. Rogers.
