Helen Doris Finch Bello, 71, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at her home under Odyssey Hospice Care. Born in Portal, she is the daughter of Willie and May Belle Williams Finch. She has lived in Metter for 30 years moving here from Statesboro. Helen was a homemaker and a great cook. She is of the Holiness faith and was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Diane Freeman.
Survivors are her husband, Noberto Bello of Metter; a son, Phillip Roberts and a daughter, Sandra Piel both of Brunswick; a sister, Martha Sutton of Metter; a brother, Jimmy Screen of Collins; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held Friday, 2:00 pm, at the Portal City Cemetery with Rev. Royce Mosley and Rev. Allen Kea officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-8 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Home, Hooks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Wayne Martin, Gary Stewart, Bobby Crosby, Donnie Sills and William Woods.
