Harry Sapp, 84, of Cobbtown died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at his home under the care of his family and Spanish Oaks Hospice. The Tattnall County native was the son of Bailey and Lillian Phillips Sapp. He was an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Harry worked as a shipping clerk at Union Bag for 16 years and as a building inspector for the Federal Government for 20 years. After returning to Cobbtown in 1975, he was owner and operator of Sapp Trucking Company. He was a great quail hunter who also loved bird houses and bird watching. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Willie Mae Cox Sapp.

Survivors are a daughter, Diane Sapp of Cobbtown; a son and daughter-in-law, David and DeLisa Sapp and a step-son, Rayburn Bryant; three grandchildren, Dylan David Sapp of Cobbtown, Jase Dyess and Jayla Dyess both of Claxton.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM, Sunday, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with burial in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 5-7 PM, at the funeral home. Please sign guest book at www.kennedyfuneralhomechapels.com.
