William “Grady” Williams, of Cobbtown, passed away late Monday evening at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Grady was born in Tattnall County to Herman Williams and Sydney Green Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Cobbtown, a christian who loved the lord, and a member of Cobbtown United Methodist Church. He attended the Tattnall-Evans training center for over fifteen years and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. Grady was deputized as an honorary Sherriff Deputy by Toombs County Sherriff’s Department at which time he was presented with a special badge, a certificate, and a uniform. In addition to his parents, Grady was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley W. Sikes and nephews, Russell Belding and Trinity Williams.
Surviving are his brother, Al Williams of Cobbtown; his nieces and nephews, Michelle S. Krauss (Ray) of Perry, Darla Burkett (Michael) of Portal, Angela Belding of Glennville, Casey Smith (Kim Johnson) of Cobbtown, and Heather Williams of Vidalia; and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 o’clock on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown with Elder Mike Newman officiating.
Interment will be in Connors Baptist Church Cemetery.
