Grace "Darlene" Whittle

Mrs. Grace “Darlene” Whittle, 66, of Cobbtown passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Candler County Hospital.

Mrs. Whittle was born the daughter of Leon and Fannie Trowell in Melbourne, Florida. Mrs. Whittle has lived in the Cobbtown area for the past 23 years of her life. She loved spending time with her family and friends, they were the joy of her life. She was a very joyful person who enjoyed bright colors, so much so, that her grandchildren gave her the name, “Rainbow Granny.” She adored her family and any time spent with them made her happy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Joey Trowell.

Surviving are her husband, John “Doc” Whittle; a daughter, Kelly Perry; a brother, Steve Trowell; sisters, Ellen Trowell and Donna Trowell; and her granddaughters, Katelan Perry and Rachel Perry.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 12-1 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The Funeral service will be Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes Cobbtown Chapel.
Interment will follow at Connors Baptist Church Cemetery.
