George "Robert" Biggers

George “Robert” Biggers of Metter passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at his residence.

Robert was born in Metter and was a son of George M. and Memory Fowler Biggers.  He was the greenskeeper for Willow Lake Golf Club in Metter for over thirty-seven years and was of the Methodist faith.  Robert loved fishing, hunting, and farming.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Johnny Biggers, Ricky Biggers, Judy Woods, and Roy Biggers.

Surviving are his sister, Debra Wilson (Anton Williamson) of Yulee, Florida; his aunt, Mabel Fowler Heigaard of Metter; several nieces nephews who were like his own children, Katina, Jason, Jody, Kevin, Angela, Diane, April, Donna, Kelly, Kristian, Roy, Jr., George, Jonathan, Ann, Jim, Brittany, and Racheal; his sisters-in-law, Betty Biggers, Roxanne Biggers, and Margaret Biggers; brother-in-law, Wesley Calhoun; several cousins; and his best friend, James Crosby.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 o’clock in the evening on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The funeral will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

Interment will be in Trail Branch Cemetery in Cochran at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
