Faye Kitchens Wells

Faye Elizabeth Kitchens Wells, 72, of Metter and wife of the late Johnny Wells, died early Wednesday morning, January 18, 2017 at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.

Born in Metter, she was the daughter of Harvey Kitchens and Pearl Sanders Kitchens.  Mrs. Wells was a member of New Beulah United Methodist Church and was a retired seamstress having worked for Ithaca for over twenty years.  She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and trips to Wal-Mart as well as word puzzles and reading and most of all spending time with family especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Rigdon.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, John “Mag” Timothy Wells and Anthony “Tony” and Tamra Wells of Metter; a brother and sister-in-law, M.H. and Luana Kitchens of Metter; grandchildren, Heather Lynn Calvert (Shawn), Tori Wells, Tucker “Tuck Man” Wells, Abby Hadden, and Katie Hadden all of Metter; great-grandchildren, Lily Clove Calvert, Wren Ezekiel Drake, and John Caleb Calvert all of Metter; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6 until 8 o’clock at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock, Friday, January 20, 2016 at New Beulah United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Jordan and Rev. Gordon Dukes officiating.

Interment will be in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
