Eva Allen Haley

Eva M. Allen Haley, 74, of Twin City and formerly of Lecanto, Florida passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation in Metter.

Born in Lecanto, Florida, she was a daughter of Horace Allen, Sr. and Pauline Edwards Allen.  Mrs. Haley was a member of the Lecanto Baptist Church and lived most of her life in Lecanto, Florida.  She was a secretary having worked for Florida Power Company.  While growing up in Citrus County/Lecanto Florida, Mrs. Haley was heavily involved in the 4H and the County Fair.  She enjoyed farming, her animals, and her grandchildren and family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her brothers, Horace “Bud” Allen, Jr. and Phillip “Tinker” Allen.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-three years, David A. Haley; her daughter, Ann Mechelle “Sissy” Holt (John); her sons, David Lee “Skeet” Haley (Stephanie) and Wilbur Vincent “Bo” Haley (Tonya); sister, Lillian Waugh; grandchildren, Levi Haley (Jasmine), Jordan Haley (Nicole), Victoria Haley (Mark), Garrett Holt, Trent Holt, Johnnie Rae Holt, Tuff Holt, Kaleigh Allen; great-grandchildren, Kyson, M.J., and Elijah; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Lecanto Baptist Church in Lecanto, Florida.

Interment will be in Lecanto Cemetery following the service.
