Emily Louise O'Quinn Wilds, 72, of Claxton died Sunday, September 27, 2015, in Savannah. She was born in Bluffton, South Carolina and lived in Savannah before moving to Claxton 25 years ago. She was a homemaker and had attended the Claxton Church of God. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, William Levi and Matilda Garbade O'Quinn; her husband, Harold Jennings Wilds, Sr.; a son, Joseph Wilds and a sister, Marie Scates.
Survivors are three sons, Harold Jennings "Jay" Wilds, Jr. of Claxton, Chris Wilds of Nashville, TN and Roy (Sue) O'Quinn of Sumpterville, SC; three daughters, Brandy (Thornton) Barrow of Savannah, Penny (Gary) Douglas of Savannah and Beth Wilds of Statesville, NC; two brothers, William O'Quinn of Mauriceville, TX and Timmy O'Quinn of Reidsville, SC; two sisters, Linda Hudgins of Reidsville, SC and Gail Ingram of Auburndale, FL; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 am, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Mosley officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Daniel Mosley, Brandon Ellis, Ronald Ellis, Kevin Douglas, Zack Douglas and Doug Ellis.
