Dorothy Mae Collins

Dorothy Mae Green Collins, 96, of Collins, passed away Wednesday night, December 28, 2022 at Southern Manor Assisted Living in Statesboro.

Mrs. Collins was born in Tattnall County and was a daughter of Willie Green and Alice Durrence Green.  She was a member of Connors Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed farming with her husband and loved her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lucian M. Collins; and her great-grandson, Hunter Snipes

Surviving are her son, Danny Collins of Collins; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Larry Johnson of Collins; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 31, at 11 o’clock in the morning at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, December 31, from 10 to 11 o’clock in the morning at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

Interment will be in Connors Baptist Church Cemetery.
