Donny Roy Morgan

“Donny” Roy Morgan, 70, of Cobbtown passed away Friday morning at his residence.

Born in Reidsville he was a son of Louis Morgan and Maudeena Mack Morgan.  Donny was a Christian who loved talking about God.  He was a retired Insulator having worked for the Local 96 in Savannah and in recent years was the co-owner with his wife Pat of Puppy Terriers Kennell in Cobbtown.  He loved riding his “side by side” on his property with his Yorkie, Sissy, tucked in his shirt and he loved running his excavator and tractor as well as looking after his pecan trees. Donny enjoyed feeding his koi fish and was good at giving good advice.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Morgan and David Morgan, and his sister, Thelma Mack.

Surviving are his wife of forty-six years, Pat McManus Morgan of Cobbtown; his son and daughter-in-law, Trenton and Danelle Sikes of Oak Park; his brothers, John Morgan (Judy) of Metter, Jimmy Morgan (Jeanne) of Cobbtown; his twin brother, Ronny Morgan (Sandy) of Cobbtown; his sisters, Joyce Driggers of Belleville, Lois Asbridge of Richmond Hill, Marti Lehart of Statesboro, and Patsy Martin (Donald) of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Trenton Sikes, Jr. and Madison Sikes; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Morgan will be held Monday, January 24, 2022, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown with Dr. Julie Stanley-Mack officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:45 o’clock in the afternoon at the funeral home on Monday.

Interment will be private.
