Donna Anne Johnson McGlashan, 43, of Cobbtown died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Memorial Health University Hospital in Savannah. She was born in Glenwood and moved to Cobbtown 3 A½ years ago after living in Reidsville for many years and attending Reidsville High School. Anne was a great cook and was the buffet chef for several years at Smith's Fried Chicken Restaurant. She had a big heart for family, giving her four year old nephew a home when her sister died three years ago.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Daniel Johnson; a granddaughter, Sara Berrum and a sister Carolyn Elaine Johnson.
Survivors are her husband, Ernest McGlashan of Cobbtown; three daughters, Krista and Kari Anne Collier both of Reidsville and Kaitlyn Collier of Lyons; "adopted" son, Sean Swartz of Cobbtown; father and step-mother, Edward and Faye Johnson of Lyons; a sister, Denice Johnson of Glennville; five grandchildren; Kiana and Jonneisha Johnson, Jada Collier, Adriana and Bentley Berrum; three step-daughters, Candice and Erica McGlashan both of Metter and Brittany McGlashan of Cobbtown; special aunt and "mother" Jane Daniel of Reidsville; step-brother and step-sisters, Travis Moore of Lyons, Sheila Dolan of Vidalia and Angela Moore of Pooler; and best friend, Roseanne Gillis of Reidsville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Pastor Allen Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6-8 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James McGlashan, Andy McGlashan, Cody McGlashan, Jimmy Fluet, Joe Prince, and Sack Fowler.
