It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Wayne See on February 21, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. Donald was born in Dover, Pennsylvania on August 27, 1947 to Philip and Evelyn See, who preceded him in death. He lived most of his life in Cobbtown, Georgia after serving in the Marine Corps with two tours in Vietnam as an Aircraft Mechanic on Phantom jet engines. Following the service he met and married his wife of 47 years, Sylvia Green See and they started their family in Dover, Pennsylvania. Seven years and three children later they moved back south to Georgia where Donald began his career with Georgia Tire in Vidalia, Georgia. Many  customers requested his service for 35 years until he retired in 2011.

Donald leaves his wife, Sylvia Green See, and their children Donna Lively (Richard Lynn), Jason & Amanda See, and Devin See. Their grandchildren Justin See (Marie Richardson), Mikaila Lively (Dusty Glisson), Robert “Trey” Lively III, Jessica See. Great grandchildren Makayla, Taylor & Gracie (Marie & Justin) and Macie Davis. Siblings include Robert Walton (York, PA), Ronald & Joyce See (Dover, PA), Gene & Penny See (Greeneville, TN), and Linda Ferguson (Greeneville, TN). His Mother-in-law Margaret Green. He also leaves several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and his Rascal.

Donald & Sylvia spent their retirement years enjoying doing things around their home together and spending time with their Grandkids. Donald also enjoyed working out, watching movies, time on his tractor, and collecting.

Visitation will be held 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Homes’ Cobbtown Chapel. Funeral services will be at the Cobbtown Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 and laid in interment immediately following at Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown.  Harvey Lively will perform the eulogy and Johnny Bradley will officiate the service. Pallbearers duties will be fulfilled by the family.

The Patriot Guard served as escort to Sunlight Cemetery where a trio of Marines in dress blues gave honors as Don arrived. Johnny Bradley spoke the final committal service followed by the playing of Taps, the flag folding and flag presentation to honor Don's service in the United States Marine Corps.
The family gathered at Donald & Sylvia’s home following the service.
