Donald E. Kight

Donald E. Kight, 73, of Metter, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Ga.

Mr. Kight was born and raised in Metter, Ga, he also spent some of his life living in Bulloch County. He was born the son of Estel and Ara Kight. Mr. Kight was a graduate of Metter High School. He enjoyed spending most of his time outdoors. He especially liked to fish in the river and gardening. Mr. Kight loved his family more than anything and he enjoyed gathering with them to share a meal. Throughout his life he worked as a meat cutter by trade. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his son, Dexter Kight; a brother, James (Debbie) Kight of Metter; sisters, Sue O’Neal of Ailey, Ga, Levonda (Willah) Vaigneur of Metter, Ga, and Barbara K. Dasher of Glennville, Ga; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 10 o’clock until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Monday.

Interment will be at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
