Delores Durden Froberg, of Locust Grove, died early Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain.
Delores was born in 1930 in Candler County to Henry Grady Durden and Vella Cowart Durden. She grew up in Metter and graduated from Metter High School in 1948. Mrs. Froberg married Robert H. Froberg on November 22, 1967. She moved to Forest Park, Georgia in 1973 and in 2010 moved to Locust Grove. She was a seamstress and a member of Trinity Lakeside Church. Mrs. Froberg enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Devoe Durden, J.B. Durden, Veleeta Durden Cannady, Juanita Durden Lewis, Thurmon Durden, G.W. Durden, and Euell Durden.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Froberg of Locust Grove; her daughter, Rosalyn Brownlee of Spanaway Washington; two sons, Garry and Martha Kemp of Sylvania and Stacy and Kelle Froberg of Marietta; a step-daughter, Shirley Feldman of National City, California; her grandchildren, Jeff Hill, Stephanie Akin (Bill), Chad Hill (Megan), Darrell Kemp (Jessica), Dusty Kemp (Sara), and Isabella Brandreth; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 from 11 o'clock in the morning to 12 noon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
The funeral service will be held 12 noon on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.
Interment will be in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Durden, Jeff Durden, Chad Hill, Billy Akin, Jacob Akin, and Darrell Kemp.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
