Delgia Julia Aviles,89, wife of Julian Aviles-Rivera passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Cedar Plantation Assisted Living.
Born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Basiliso Ortiz and Iginia Diaz. Mrs. Aviles was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Puerto Rico before moving to Metter several months ago, she was of the Catholic faith and loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and watching television.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Julio and Suzanne Aviles of Collierville, Tennessee, and Wilfredo Aviles of Metter; grandsons, Miguel (Denise) Aviles of Metter and Carlos (Alena) Aviles of Brooklet, Julian (Beth) Aviles of New Orleans and Daniel Aviles of Marietta; and five great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 o’clock in the afternoon, January 20, 2017 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 o’clock until the funeral hour.
