David George Messick

David George Messick, of Metter, passed away at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

David was born in East Point, Georgia and lived in Metter for many years.  He worked in construction, having specialized in sheet rocking  as well as working in the trucking industry driving for companies like STAR.  David was of the Baptist faith and loved his fishing, country music and cooking for friends and family.

Surviving are his wife Cynthia “Cindy” Walker; his daughters, Crystal, Chassie, Brittany, Darryl, Kimberly, and Jimmy; four siblings, Robert Messick (Carrie), Bonnie Pratt, Kristy Davis, and Sandi Coleman; grandchildren, Ansley, Harley, Riley, Bryson, Elise, Autumn, Braylon, Benji, Brody, Cayden, Camden, Easton, and Maci; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 4 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The family will receive friends from 2 unitl 4 o’clock in the afternoon at the funeral home on Saturday.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
