David S Owen

David S. Owen, 54, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at Ogeechee Area Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

David grew up in Dunwoody, Ga and graduated from Dunwoody High School. He then attended Georgia Southern University graduating with a degree in Marketing and Logistics. He was a dedicated professional, serving as a Human Resource Staffer at SelecSource and later working at McKeithen’s True Value Hardware in Statesboro. He was of the Methodist faith.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Cobb Owen and Margaret Cook Owen.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Lynn Owen; his cherished daughters, Mary Margaret Owen and Sarah Lynn Owen; his sister, Suzanne Owen Krueger (Grant); and his father-in-law, David Miller, and mother-in-law, Dale Miller; and many close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather and offer condolences starting at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice or J.C. Lewis Cancer Center in David’s memory.
