David Randall Green, 54, of Stillmore died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Statesboro. Born in Toombs County, the son of the late William Thomas and Rachel Anjane Oliver Green, he had lived most of his life in Stillmore. He was employed with Eagle Health and Rehabilitation in Statesboro, but had worked in construction most of his years. David was a great Daddy to his boys and a devoted Papa Dave to his grandchildren, and just a good friend to everyone. He was an avid fisherman and loved his tractors and jeeps.
Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Carolyn Green of Swainsboro, Justin "Willie" and Shelby Green of Lyons; his companion, Debra Kangeter of Metter; two brothers, Tommy Green of Stillmore and Jerry Green of Shelby, Alabama; three sisters, Jeanette Lewis of Metter, Jane Hardee of Collins and Patty Cockman of Normantown; three grandchildren, Jaxon, Brooklyn and Rachel Green.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2:00 pm, at Kennedy Funeral Home, Hooks Chapel, with Rev. Kenny Green, Rev. Hugh Baxter and Rev. Timothy Green officiating.
