Dale Edward "Sledge" Easley

Dale Edward “Sledge” Easley, 60, of Portal and husband of the late Kelli Easley, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.

Born in Savannah, he was a son of Landon Edward Easley and Regina Green Towson.  He lived in Savannah for many years and was the owner and operator of Easley Roofing and was known by many by the name of “Sledge”.  He moved to Portal over twenty years ago.

Surviving are three daughters, Melissa Matthews (Wayman) of Portal, Sharon Williams (Michael) of Glennville, and Elizabeth Easley of Portal; his son, Patrick Easley of Portal; two brothers, Dennis Easley (Naomi) of League City, Texas and Wayman Kelly Towson of Portal; his grandchildren, Jason Lord, Melissa Shelton, Brandon Westmoreland, Wesley Westmoreland, Breanna Matthews, Rylan Matthews, and Braiden Matthews; and several nieces, and nephews.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Wednesday.
