Clayton “Willis” Sikes, 68, of Collins died Monday afternoon, June 15, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.
Born in Cobbtown, he was a son of Clayton and Annie Lanigan Sikes. Mr. Sikes was a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church. He owned and operated Hagan Stockyard and was the owner of Dixie Livestock. Mr. Sikes was a member of the Georgia Live Stock Association and he loved to go to equipment and livestock sales where he enjoyed socializing with friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sikes was preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Powell, Susie Mae Harper, and Thelma Sikes and a brother William Henry Sikes.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law; Jamie and Tietgen Edenfield of Metter; two sons, Clayton Jack Sikes and Clayton Lane Sikes from Collins; a sister, Marie Sikes Williams of Statesboro; four grandchildren; Natalie and Cason Edenfield, Bentlee and Jaxson Sikes; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 until 5 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
The private family funeral will be held Thursday at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.
Interment will be private.
