Chris Franklin "Nappy" Jarriel

Chris Franklin Jarriel, “Nappy”, 58, of Metter, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at his residence under the care of Hospice and his family.

Chris was a son of Ray Franklin Jarriel and Lanelle Holland Jarriel.  He was a self-employed contractor and was of the Baptist faith. Chris loved to hunt and fish, he enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Deborah Kay Jarriel and Danny Ray Jarriel.

Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Herrington Jarriel of Metter; his mother, Lanelle Holland Jarriel of Metter; his children, Niki Bodiford Jenkins (Allen) of Nevils, Pamela R. Motes (Wendell) of Metter; Allen Warren (Amy) of Statesboro; his sister, Dawn Page (Mike) of Cobbtown; his grandchildren, Grace Motes, Anna Motes, Mary Motes, Megan Dukes, Jason Dukes, Lana Jenkins, and Dixie Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews including, Jamie Medlock and John Michael Page.

The funeral service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday morning.

Interment will be in Primitive Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
