Charles Daniel Woods, 39, husband of Amy Arden Woods, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

Born in Metter, he was the son of Charles Henry Woods and Linda Sewell Woods.  Daniel was of the Baptist faith and a farmer, having grown onions, peanuts, sweet potatoes, watermelons and more.  He loved his family, hunting, fishing and lived in Cobbtown and Metter all his life.  Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Buddy Sewell and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Vera Trull Woods.

Surviving are his wife, Amy Arden Woods of Metter; three sons, Mason, Blayne, and Tanner all of Metter; his parents, Charles Henry Woods and Linda Sewell Woods; a sister, Michelle Woods of Metter; his maternal grandmother, Melba Gerald of Cobbtown; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Jackie Arden of Springfield; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Arden of Guyton; a nephew, Dakota Robenolt of Metter; a niece, Lexi Rigdon of Metter; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

Interment will be in Sunlight Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Sikes, Eric Baugh, Jerry Powell, Wes Miller, Kevin Sikes, Buck Eason, Stevie Sewell, and Sean Berry.
