Bonnie Rae Kersey Jarriel, of Vidalia and formerly of Collins, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia.

Bonnie was born in Collins and was a daughter of Warnell Kersey and Francina Brown Kersey.  She lived in Collins for most of her life and has lived in Vidalia for the past seven years.  She was a Christian and loved painting having had a talent for art.  She was a hairdresser and, in recent years, worked for Concerted Services as a transport driver.  Bonnie loved watching Gunsmoke and Bonanza on television, thrift store shopping, and  ordering off of the internet.  Above anything else, Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Bailey Dalber and a brother, Ronnie Kersey.

Surviving are her children, Philip Dalber of Grovetown, Georgia, Amy (James) Goodwin of Vidalia, and David (Kasey) Jarriel of Collins; a sister, Genie McDaniel; a half-sister, Mary Nell Kersey; her grandchildren, Barret Dalber, Ryan Dalber, Dalton Schnelle, Drake Schnelle, Sarah Goodwin, Hunter Jarriel, Autumn Jarriel, and Raven Jarriel; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Jessica, Kiki, and Mrs. Annette.

The Funeral service will be held 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Cobbtown Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o’clock at the church on Monday.

Interment will follow in Sunlight Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown is in charge of the arrangements.
