Billy Gene Sikes

Billy Gene Sikes of Cobbtown passed away early Monday, March 21, 2022 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

Mr. Sikes was born and lived all of his life in Cobbtown and was a farmer.  He married his high school sweetheart, Lula Harper in 1957.  Mr. Sikes was a member of Cobbtown Baptist Church and he loved to fish.  He was preceded in death by his Parents Eugene Sikes and Grace Williams Sikes.

Survivors are his wife of over sixty-four years, Lula Harper Sikes of Cobbtown; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Kay Sikes of Cobbtown; his sisters-in-law, Jessie Hess of Lyons, Mary Lou Boyette of Bloomingdale; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning, Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Interment will be in Sunlight Cemetery.
