Billy Gene Powell

Billy Gene Powell, 60, son of Aaron and Nora Wilds Powell, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Ridgeland Nursing Center in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

Born in Dayton Beach, Florida Mr. Powell was the son of Aaron and Nora Wilds Powell.  He was a member of Grace Hill Baptist Church.  Even though he could not speak, Billy had his way of expressing himself and letting folks know what he wanted. In addition to his father, Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his brother, James Wallace Powell.

Surviving are his mother, Nora Wilds Powell of Lobeco, South Carolina; two sisters, Donna Marie Powell of Cottageville, South Carolina and Barbara Ann Powell of Ridgeland, South Carolina; a brother, Robert Dale Powell of Beaufort, South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 2:00pm Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.

Interment will follow in Lynn Cemetery near Collins.
