Billie Lee Thomas Hinkle

Billie Lee Thomas Hinkle of Metter and widow of Rev. Gordon Franklin Hinkle, Jr., passed away early Wednesday morning, February 15, 2023 at her residence under the care of her family and hospice.

Mrs. Hinkle was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a daughter of William Edward Thomas and June Audrey Green.  She owned and operated Whistle Stop Hobbies in Pittsburgh for many years before moving to Metter in 1998.  Mrs. Hinkle was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Robin Baur of Metter; her sons, William Baur of Metter, Kirk Hinkle (Carol) of Cleveland, Ohio, and Scott Hinkle (Melanie) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Darby of Portland, Oregon.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11 o'clock in the morning at Holy Family Catholic Church.
