Betty J. Holland passed away at her home in Cobbtown, Georgia.

She was born in Collins and was a daughter of Weed Holland and Ruth Lynn Holland.  Betty was a graduate of Collins High School.  She worked in a government position in Atlanta and later in Columbia, South Carolina.  She loved living in the country and after retirement, Betty moved back to the place where she grew up in Cobbtown, Georgia.  She had a love for animals, especially her dog Dee Dee.  In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley, Way, Clem, Harmon, and Thomas.

Surviving are her sister, Edna Mae Holland of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held 11 o’clock in the morning on Friday, June 23, 2023, in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cemetery immediately following the service on Friday.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
