Betty Green, 86, of Collins, widow of Clarence Coye Green, died Saturday, February 15, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.

Born in Wauchula, Florida, she was the daughter of Walter and Mabel Rhiner.  Mrs. Green was a homemaker and attended church in her earlier years with her parents at Anderson Primitive Baptist Church and later became a member of Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church.  Mrs. Green loved flowers, fishing, camping, and loved her family and her dog Miley.  In addition to her parents, siblings, and her husband, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her son Larry Green.  She was a loving Christian woman and loved watching country western movies.

Surviving are two sons, Coye Green of Collins, Don Green (Peggy) of Collins; two daughters, Debra Phillips (Ricky) of Ellabell, Cathy Green Findley (Franklin) of Richmond Hill; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held 11 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Gray officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 until 8 o’clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown.

Interment will be in Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, of Cobbtown is in charge of the arrangements.
