Arthur T. McCall, 60, of Cobbtown died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Meadows Region Memorial Hospital.
Born in Madisonville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Rev. John Steven McCall and Nadine Hatcher McCall. Arthur was a member of the Cobbtown Methodist Church and was a 1974 graduate of Homerville High School. He lived most of his life in Cobbtown and was a volunteer fireman and first responder for Tattnall County. Arthur was a truck driver and logger. He loved watching sports, umpiring soft ball at the Cobbtown Recreational Center, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed helping others any way he could.
In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny McCall and Robert McCall.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Rueben Duckworth of Ashburn; sister-in-law, Karen McCall of Cobbtown; and a nephew, nieces, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel with Rev. Danny Stillwell officiating. Burial will be in the Reidsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Shirah, Tony Smith, Robbie Dixon, Ashley Harvey, Daniel Calhoun, and Josh Moser.
