Arthur Harper

Arthur Harper Sr., of Cobbtown, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Wellstar Health in Augusta, Ga.

Mr. Harper was born in Dallas, Texas and was a son to Samuel Harper and Betsy Marie Johnson. He was a member of Cobbtown Methodist Church and was a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harper was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Harper; bothers David Harper and Roy Harper and a half sister, Adele Messick.

He is survived by a son, Arthur Harper Jr.; his grandson Aaron Harper; his sister, Ona Anderson.

The graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown.  The family will visit with friends following the service at the graveside on Friday.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
