Anthony "Tony" Sewell, 55, of Cobbtown died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home. A lifelong resident of Cobbtown, he was a heavy equipment operator. Tony loved to hunt and fish and is a member of the Cobbtown Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Sewell and a brother-in-law, George Powell.
Survivors are two daughters, Amy S. Holtsclaw of Glennville and Kelley S. Collins of Cobbtown; his parents, Aaron and Nannie Lou Sewell of Cobbtown; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gail and James Curl and Angie Powell all of Cobbtown; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 2:00 PM, at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Joey Holloway officiating. Burial will be in the Sunlight Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening, 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
