Alice P Thain

Alice Parnell Thain, 95, of Atlanta and formerly of Metter and widow of Mendes Thain, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Tapestry House in Alpharetta.

Born in Lamar, South Carolina, she was a daughter of John David Parnell and Vera Richardson Parnell. Mrs. Thain worked for several years at Pineland State Bank.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Thain.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Phil Davis and Sandra and Thomas Crews, a daughter-in-law, Becky Thain of Fayetteville;her grandchildren, Aquilla Nidey (Todd), Cason Zarro (Tony), Stephanie Crews, Kendall Crews (Kelly), and Audrey Ardis (Zane); great-grandchildren, Aspen and Tsali Nidey, Arkady, Emery and Aquilla Zarro, Cam and Lark Ardis, Kai, Sadie, and Jax Crews.

The funeral will be held 11 o’clock in the morning, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel with George Lee and Phillip Farris officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 o’clock until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Saturday.

Interment will be in Thain Cemetery.
