Alice Faye Roberts Deriso, 66, of the Hillview Community, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton.

Born in Collins, she was the daughter of Mertie Lee Boyett Roberts and Seaborn Jones “Bo” Roberts.  Alice lived in the Hillview Community most of her life.  She was a 1968 graduate of Collins High School    (Reidsville) and was a retired legal secretary for Wensley Hobby law office in Reidsville.  Alice was a member and treasurer at Rogers Baptist Church and her favorite past time was visiting her grandsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Merle R. Gilder and a brother, Deron Roberts.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Brice, and Staci Deriso of Hoschton, GA; two grandsons, Korbin and Caleb Deriso also of Hoschton; her sister, Joyce R. Brown of Hillview Community; her brothers, Jurrell Roberts (Margaret) of Hillview Community and Wendell Roberts of Brunswick; her “loving second mother”, Reba Dickey of Hillview Community; several nieces and nephews; and her Rogers Baptist Church family.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 5 until 7 o’clock in the evening at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel.

The funeral will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel. Interment will be in Anderson Church Cemetery.
